With just $2,000 and one donated outdoor board, the New Mexico AIDS Walk Billboard Project went on to become one of the most successful grassroots marketing campaigns in the Southwest. The Project generated an estimated $200,000 worth of free media exposure, making the measured ROI for the project just over 10,000%.
Many of the lessons learned in the New Mexico AIDS Walk Billboard Project can be directly applied to any marketing campaign that needs to make a giant impact – with extremely limited funds.
In this day and age, it is critical that the single marketing dollar works as hard as it can.
In June of 2009, Esparza Advertising worked with New Mexico AIDS Services to develop the New Mexico AIDS Walk Billboard Project. It was promoted using Facebook, about 200 blogs, YouTube, Flickr, an integrated website and one traditional outdoor board.
Anyone who is currently faced with the daunting challenge of creating marketing materials (and strategies) that will resonate with their key target and “cut through the clutter” should find this presentation valuable, insightful and entertaining.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
• How to seamlessly integrate traditional and non-traditional advertising mediums into a successful marketing campaign.
• How to use creativity to increase the reach and frequency of your campaign.
• All it takes in one step to leave an extraordinary mark.
